Casa Tersalle is situated in stunning countryside, in the northern part of Umbria (central Italy), 1 km from the border with Tuscany.

Please note that since public transport is very limited locally, a car is essential for staying at Casa Tersalle and is probably best arranged at the same time as booking flights.
The nearest mainline railway station is Arezzo (35 kms), with direct connections to Florence, Bologna and Rome.
Local towns and amenities
Casa Tersalle is within easy reach of local amenities in the villages of Lippiano (5 mins by car or a pleasant 15 minute walk through the fields),and Monterchi (10 mins by car). There are several bars and good restaurants nearby where you can go at lunchtime or in the evening and try out some of the delicious local dishes (see also Eating & Drinking page).
The historic walled towns of Città di Castello (Umbria), Anghiari and Sansepolcro (Tuscany) are close by and there are numerous delightful mediaeval hilltop towns waiting to be explored in the vicinity, each with its own individual history and character.
Swimming
There are four public open-air swimming pools in the vicinity (open June-September) and two indoor ones (open October to end May). At Lake Trasimeno the beaches provide safe swimming for small children.
