The House
Casa Tersalle is on two floors and is suitable for up to 8 people, offering plenty of flexibility for different sized groups. There is one bedroom on the ground floor and two on the upper floor. For 5-8 people the booking is for the whole house. For 2-4 people the upper floor is closed off; however an extra room can be made available on request for a small extra charge.
The house is a single unit and therefore visitors have exclusive use, however many people are staying. There is central heating in all rooms for use during colder periods. The house is let on a self-catering basis.
Ground floor
The entrance to the house is up a short flight of steps, with handrails, and welcomes you into a large traditional Umbrian kitchen where there is an open fireplace and a woodburning stove. As well as the traditional features, a modern extensively equipped fitted kitchen area has been incorporated with worktop, fridge/freezer and gas cooker. There is also a circular table made from an old wine-barrel, with stools around it - an ideal place to gather for a meal.
The kitchen leads through into the separate dining room where there is an extendable dining table and chairs to seat up to 8 people, a dresser and a bookcase with guide books, information leaflets, general reading and games. The staircase to the upstairs bedrooms leads off from here.
The light and spacious living room (access through the dining room) has superb views of the surrounding countryside. In this room there are two comfortable sofas, armchairs and a small cosy woodburning stove. There is also a wardrobe and the possibility of two single beds for guests who wish to use this room as a bedroom.
Bedroom 1 is next to the living room and has the same stunning views. It is a large room with the option of one double or two single beds; there is a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables with reading lamps.
The main bathroom is adjacent to Bedroom 1 and has a bath with shower over, a handbasin, WC and bidet.
Upper floor
The old stone staircase from the dining room leads up into Bedroom 2 which, with its sloping, beamed ceiling, has a lot of character. Access to Bedroom 3 is through Bedroom 2 and it has an ensuite WC and handbasin.
Both these bedrooms have wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside tables and reading lamps and the option of 1 double or 2 single beds. There is also space for one extra bed in each room.
We provide (at no extra charge):
- all necessary bedding, linen, towels (for indoor use only)
- weekly linen change
- 1 or 2 cots (on request)
- a comprehensive supply of cooking utensils, crockery, iron etc. In fact, all that you would expect in your own home.
- initial and final cleaning
- electricity, hot & cold water, gas for cooking. (Gas central heating when required will be charged according to usage.)
- satellite TV and radio (Hotbird free-to-air only which includes BBC World TV & BBC World Service radio plus most Italian channels)
NB: A washing machine is available for guests' use for a small extra charge.
