The ACCOMMODATION              

Overview: sleeps 2-8 people (the house is a single unit on two floors and therefore offers exclusive use, however many  people)

2-4 people: ground floor only, with possibility of extra room on upper floor (additional charge). 

5-8 people: whole house    

Features: Light, spacious rooms, exposed wooden beam ceilings, wooden shutters, open fire and woodburning stoves, central heating in all rooms. 

Ground floor:

The entrance to the house is up a short flight of steps and welcomes you into the large traditional kitchen with an open fireplace and a woodburning stove.  A modern, extensively equipped fitted kitchen area has been incorporated with fridge/freezer and gas cooker.  There is also a circular wine-barrel table with stools around it.

The kitchen leads through into the separate dining room where there is an extendable dining table and chairs to seat up to 8 people, and a dresser.  The staircase to the upstairs bedrooms leads off from here.

The light and spacious living room (access through the dining room) has superb views of the surrounding countryside.  In this room there are two comfortable sofas, armchairs and a small woodburning stove.  There is also a wardrobe and the possibility of two single beds for guests who wish to use this room as a bedroom.  In addition, there is a bookcase with guide books, information leaflets, general reading and games.

Bedroom 1 is next to the living room and has the same stunning views.  There is the option of one double or two single beds and there is a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables with reading lamps.

The main bathroom is adjacent to Bedroom 1 and has a bath with shower over, a handbasin, WC and bidet.

Upper floor:

The old stone staircase from the dining room leads up into Bedroom 2 which, with its sloping, beamed ceiling, has a lot of character.  Access to Bedroom 3 is through Bedroom 2 and it has an ensuite WC and handbasin.  Both these bedrooms have wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside tables and reading lamps and the option of 1 double or 2 single beds.  There is also space for one extra bed in each room.

Outside

There is a large sunny south-facing terrace where you can sit and relax, eat, drink, chat and generally while away the time while taking in the magnificent views over the surrounding fields and hills, and in the evening maybe sit under the stars and watch the fireflies dance...

There is also a small garden below the terrace.  Garden furniture, sun umbrellas and a barbecue are provided.  NB - If you enjoy painting, don't forget your pad and colours - this is the ideal spot!
